EBAY L@@K .. Negative Feedback that should be removed


Hi everyone


If you are selling on ebay i urge you to vote for this guide to keep it in the public eye and so that ebay can see the amount of attention it is getting and i will press for them to act.


Please feel free to correct me if i am wrong but i have had several conversations wth my account manager and emailed ebay several times regarding this matter and here is what i understand about negative feedback left for a seller.


With all the information i have been given i understand that ebay will only remove a negative feedback if it breaches there feedback rules. Now to a certain extent i do agree with the new feedbck system and think that it will show good from bad sellers. However there is one part of it that i think stinks! and that is there refusal to remove feedback under any other circumstances. I just can not understnd why they removed the mutual agreement to withdraw feedback with the customer if you have resolved there problem. Yes i could understand if they removed the mutual feedback system under the old feedback system were a seller could blackmail a buyer in to removing the feedback by giving them a neg, but now they can not do that it would no longer effect any reason as to why you can not agree with a buyer to have the feedback removed and it's just not fair at all.


There are many reason why a buyer would leave negative feedback some fair and some very unjust, here are some examples of why buyers would leave a neg but as a seller you should be able to have it removed.


Late delivery (in this case we would contact the buyer appologies and refund any express shipping part of there order and they would gladly remove the feedback)


Mistake! when a buyer leaves a neg for the wrong seller (now surely this is out of order, yes they made a mistake and would like to recify it!)


Broken item (if you contact the buyer and replace the item they are more than happy to remove feedback, yes it would be nice for them to give you a chance to do this first but as we all know some people shout before even trying to solve the problem)


Damaged packaging (again if you refund the postage as a good will gesture they are more than happy to remove the feedback)


I think you get the point and there are many reasons why a buyer would leave a neg but be more than happy to have it removed. The most important issue here as i see it is customer satisfaction, this is why ebay keep going on about all the changes they are doing to make ebay a safer and more enjoyable place to buy from. So why will they not remove a neg when the issue is resolved.

We can all except that we are going to get the odd numpty that you can never please. We got one the other day that said missleading advert, what they should have said is i am very silly and did not read the auction details! We Even refunded this guy in full and then he thanked us by giving us a Neg for his stupidity! But that is part
