Horny Goat Weed - Natural Alternative

Currently there are an estimated 2.3 million men in the UK suffering from a medical condition known as ED or Erectile Dysfunction. Worldwide it is estimated that around one in ten men are affected by this condition, with this figure rising to around a third of men aged over fifty.

Many men suffer in silence because they assume the symptoms are simply a part of growing older when the causes are usually much more manageable. Physical health, stress, relationship issues, depression, smoking and obesity may all be causes of ED.

Although this is a taboo subject, everyone has heard of latest drug to hit the market that treats this condition.

Ever since the emergence of Viagra, the famous erectile dysfunction (ED) drug which exploded on the market a few years ago, not a single day has passes without seeing ads of the magical ED pill especially in spam email, proving that this drug is in great demand.

There has definitely been a good deal of controversy over Viagra, its use and more recently, its side effects among some unfortunate patients. The most common side effects from taking this drug is a headache and hot flushing. But there are less common, more serious reported side effects which are a runny nose, indigestion and a blue tinge to the vision.

Then there is the risk of death especially if you have a heart condition and are taking a form of nitrate treatment. Viagra causes the blood pressure to drop a very slight amount, for most people this is fine and will cause no problems but from men taking nitrate treatment, when mixed with Viagra there is a huge drop in blood pressure which can prove to be fatal.

So what are the alternatives ?? What are the natural alternatives ??

According to the legend, a goat herder noticed an increase in the sexual activity in his flock after they ate this abundantly growing weed. This weed is known by many names such as Barrenwort, Bishops Hat and Fairy Wings but the most common name is Horny Goat Weed.

This plant has testosterone like effects and has been proven to stimulate sexual desire and activity. It also contains an active ingredient called icariin which is thought to work by increasing levels of nitric oxide which relaxes smooth muscles and results in an increase in blood flow. Horny goat weed also appears to act by inhibiting the PDE-5 enzyme, which is the same way that the popular drug Viagra works.

This plant has for over 2000 years been helping both men and women increase their libido, sexual desire, energy levels, stamina and sensory stimulation. It is estimated that currently sales of this king of herbal sex enhancers are over 100 tons per year from China. In 2003 Horny Goat Weed was ranked 18 in the top 25 supplements bought in the USA which equals $2.5 million in sale, up 13.9 percent from 2002 proving that sex does sell !!!

Available in convenient capsule form, blended with complementary supplements to enhance the overall effect of the horny goat weed. Are there any side effects ?? High dosages of horny goat weed may cause side effects in some people, which would include rapid heart beat, restlessness, and insomnia which are less severe than those of Viagra and could also be attributed to the desired effect of the weed.

But there is more to this amusingly named herb, as it has a few other health giving properties such as lowering blood sugar levels, lumbago, arthritis, numbness and weakness of the limbs, hypertension and chronic bronchitis. It doesnt stop there, it also has adaptogenic properties much like Cordyceps, Rhodiola, and Ginseng etc. by increasing levels of epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine when they are low which has an energy-promoting effect. As well as reducing cortisol levels when they are elevated which has an anti-stress effect

Remember that horny goat weed has been used safely for more than 2,000 years by both men and women. The reason ? It obvious, its because it works.

Sound Advice for NEW SELLERS!!!

As an experienced Seller, I would advise New Sellers to Check Buyers addresses once an item has been purchased as some Buyers do tend to ask Sellers to send Items to "another address". DO NOT DO THIS. They are more than likely to be con-artists than real honest buyers.

To check their address that is on Ebay's File, go the royal mail website royalmail.com, register (its free) and then you can check the postcode to their address, if their address has not got a Postcode, email the Buyer BEFORE sending out the Item asking them for their Postcode, then check it with Royal Mail. If it does not match the address, there is your answer! Good, Honest Ebayers will not have ANYTHING to hide!

Also, obtain Proof of Postage! You can get "Certificates of Posting" from any Sorting /DeliveryOffice - FREE!! Some buyers rely on you (the Seller) not getting Proof of Posting so they can ask for a refund should their Item not arrive!!! When it has! Getting more than they bargained for and the Seller losing out - NOT GOOD!!!!

For Valuable Items - Use Recorded Delivery (Signed for) or Special Delivery (Guaranteed before 1pm the following day). Again, you can track these items, once sent, atroyalmail.com and see who has signed for them. It shows you the Signature of that person and they write their SURNAME in CAPITALS underneath - along with the time/date.

Too Good To Be True

This guide is written by me simply because the one question that comes to the forefront in every buyers mind when making a purchase on Ebay is, "is this product actually genuine or not" As I mainly sell cosmetics and skincare products, I do have buyers that email me to ask if my products are genuine, so this is my answer to all buyers who are considering buying from me, " yes, my products are 100% genuine and come with a full no quibble refund. "I have purchased a number of skincare and body care products from Ebay Sellers and the majority of the time, the products are genuine but only because I have taken the sellers feedback comments from other buyers into consideration, I really do scrutinise feedback and find it to be of immense help in making a purchase. I have been caught out a few times myself when I first started to buy products from Ebay. I have bought body lotions from Gatineau and shower gels from Molton Brown, etc, which were not genuine items and although now I feel really guilty for not leaving negative feedback for the seller, only because I noticed that certain sellers will also leave negative feedback for a buyer, even if the buyer was being completely honest and negative feedback was not warranted. The one good saving grace now is that Ebay has changed all of this by allowing a buyer to rate a seller on various aspects of the transaction. Doesn't solve the problem where a buyer may well be worried about leaving negative feedback for a seller but the buyer has to either communicate with the seller and hopefully is able to leave the feedback that is honestly deserved by a seller without the seller retaliating by doing the same for the buyer.I always find that new buyers to Ebay tend to leap straight away into making a purchase as they are so excited by the good prices and quality products available to them that they could not normally buy on the high street due to high prices. (So trusting new buyers can be) Always remember though, that for as much dishonest sellers there are on Ebay, there are equally as much dishonest buyers around. So for anyone that is new to Ebay or even perhaps a regular buyer, always check the sellers feedback comments from other buyers, if in doubt, always ask questions to the seller but never just leap into making a purchase especially if it's for a large sum of money. If you are not happy with a sellers response to your questions, then I personally would advise not to make the purchase as you probably could buy that very item from another seller who's responses are more satisfactory to your liking.I will say though that it is disgraceful that some sellers can actually have the heart to sell fake skincare or body care as this can be damaging to a human beings skin or health and is totally against the law. There are laws in place for this type of behaviour. So, if the price looks like it's too good to be true, then it probably is, although there are genuinely good sellers on Ebay that sell genuine products at really good prices.Buyers, please be honest when leaving feedback for sellers so that other buyers may be aware of any problems with a particular seller (sellers will have no second thoughts to leaving negative feedback for a buyer if the transaction was unsuccessful) and seriously consider who you are buying from and hopefully together we can make Ebay a better and safer place to make purchases from and boot out any dishonesty as this type of behaviour can give genuine Businesses that trade on Ebay a bad name.Free To Explore Beauty

Simpsons Collections 17 Seasons or 18 Seasons??

Dear Friends,

It's quite not understanding , why do Ebay remove the listing of any 17 seasons or 18 Seasons Simpson DVD collections, as i persume the official release is for only 10 seasons, which you seen in DVD's SECTION in EBAY, search for " SIMPSONS"

The 17 or 18 season DVD collections are released in CHINESE/HONGKONG version, which is not recongnized by EBAY for selling, if you got any of these, check with EBAY PRIOR TO SELL OR BID, SOME of the DVD's DON't WORK and you aren't covered by the PAYPAL insurance for the purchase.

ALWAYS CROSS CHECK UR BIDDING ITEM WITH EBAY POLICIES

10 Ebay Tips For Buyers

1. Build A Positive Feedback Rating

Give and get good feedback. This is less critical for buyers than for sellers, but having a good feedback rating makes other eBayers comfortable doing business with you. For example, I accept checks for immediate shipment if the buyer has a good feedback rating. If someone has very little feedback (less than 20) or several negative comments, then I hold the checks until they clear before sending an item.

2. How to build feedback quickly?

Here is a quick way to build good feedback: make some purchases for a few lower cost items you use everyday or that you would normally buy at a store. There are plenty of items in the Health

Concert Tickets on e-bay - Possible SCAM's

In November 2007 I waslet down really badly by an e-bay seller on Take That tickets that we bought and paid forover 5 months ago!

As is normal for tickets ordered months in advance, I expected to have to wait for the tickets to arrive with the seller before he could send them on to me. However, 14 days before the concert hetold me"I am afraid I will be unable to supply the Take That tickets you purchased from me on ebay. I have just found out that I have had my allocation cancelled for breaching the terms of the ticket agency (ie: reselling them on ebay)". Whilst he initially promised me a full refund, it soon became apparent that this was as likely to arrive as the tickets!.

Most ticket agencies nowinclude a clause in their T

Motorcycle Helmet safe or not?

This is an email I got when inquiring about a helmet I bought new which was manufactured 1 1/2 years ago.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Your e-mail has been forwarded to Feridax (1957) Ltd. We are theofficial UK importer and distributor of Shoei motorcycle helmets.

Shoei safety helmets do not have an expiry or use by date and will not startto deteriorate until you start using it. Shoei recommend that on average a helmet if kept in excellent condition should be replaced at least every five years from the date of first use.

However, this is dependant on the condition of the helmet and how often it is used. If you use a helmet on a regular basis it will need to replaced more often than a helmet that is only used occasionally. The most important factor to take into consideration when deciding if you need to replace a helmet is fit.An incorrectly fitted helmet will have an affect on how well it performs during an accident.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I had previously been told that a motorcycle helmet needed to be replaced 3 years from the date of manufacture, or 5 years from the date of manufacture depending on whether it was polycarbonate or fibreglass.

CHEAP Nikon and Canon Cameras BEWARE !!!!!!!!!

I have noticed and almost got caught out by a scam from China, taiwan. They advertise very high quality SLR cameras at too good to be true prices - they are !! This scam uses hijacked UK ebayers ID. but requests payment by wire to a far east bank. I have reported no end of these to ebay as I almost got caught myself on a Nikon D200 for300. Yes I hear you say 'should have known better' but I was suspicious straightaway when payment was asked for. I contacted the supposed seller but heard nothing in reply HMMMM I thought - this is odd! Anyway watch for silly cheap prices on cameras which should be a whole lot more. The usual way it's done is on a 24hr listing with up to 10 or so cameras all the same using a UK ebayer's name as the seller. DO NOT BID OR SEND MONEY, Report it to ebay - you have been warned!!!!!!!!!

Which Coax do I need to Install Sky Sky HD

When Installing sky you will need a twin shotgun coax cable.

What is "Shotgun" coax cable.

Its a term given to a twin coax cable that looks almost like the end of a double barrel shotgun.

The cable can be bought in varying types, for use where a twin cable is required from a satellite LNB to your Sky Digital or HD receiver or where you require Satellite reception in 2 rooms from 1 dish.

What is considered the best coax cable brand is Webro who are a National Quality assured company to ISO 9002 standards

There are a few types ot twin coax cable, of which Sky recommend WF65 OR CT63which is great for most installations.

If you are like myself and like to go one step further keeping those all important losses to a minimum, then

WebroWF100 Twin Satellite Coax Cable should be your choice

Comparisons of the twinsat shotgun cable are shown below

Nokia 6310/6310i Dismantle/Housing Facia Change Guide

These instructions also work for the Nokia 6310i, which has no physical differences. A Torx T6 screwdriver is the specialist tool required to fit this (available from our shop).Steps:

1) Remove the battery from the phone. 2) Locate the screws: there are four needed to be dismantled: two in the bottom corners, and two approximately halfway up the phone, directly above those in the corners. Keep the screws as you will be needing them again.3) Using a plastic shim or similar instrument, the rear chassis can be removed from the phone. 4) Remove the aerial cover by unscrewing the screw at the top, now exposed by the back cover being removed.

5) On the rear of the original front cover, you will see the speaker, vibra motor and buzzer. These need to be transferred into the same respective positions on the replacement housing.6) Once this is done, replace the aerial cover back into place on the replacement front cover.7) Clip back in the rear chassis and screw back into place.8) Switch the phone back on. Common mistakes: if vibration or buzzer are not present, check the respective connection to the main green and gold board of the phone. Also, check the position of the aerial cover as if it protrudes, then this will prevent an 100% fit.

Keeping Fish - What do do if they are gulping

Keeping fish is a fun and enjoyable thing, but I would add a word of caution about fish tanks. Certainly those with lids on might not be the best solution for your fish.We have a bi-ord self contained and with a lid, and recently noticed our family of piranah looking unhappy and gulping, basically there was insufficent air in the tank for them,Easy to rectify if you catch it soon enough, take the plastic upright pipe out of your tank and using a saw (carefully) cut it down to approx 2 inches high. The position a rock or in the case of Piranah who like brackish water drift wood over the end, this will spread the bubbles around the tank, drop the water level to approx 4 inches beneath the top of the tank to create a greater surface space of water, and finally leave the lid of the tank off, keep your fish quiet and calm for a few days and feed them bloodworm (if they are piranah) and daphne if they are tropical and within 3 days you should see a marked improvement on how they are.If you have a larger tank it is worth considering another airline into the tank with a filter on - which will get as much oxygen into the tank as possibleGood luck with your fishSuz xxPs -Please vote to let me know if you find these interesting - so I know if I should add more! ALWAYS USE A CREDIT CARD WHEN PAYING VIA PAYPAL.

We were ripped off for 300 on ebay. Paypal only refunded us 100. Their promice to refund "UP TO 500" is just that. "UP TO". Add a credit card and should you have a problem then your credit card company will get you back 100% of the loss. Sadly I learned this the hard way. I thought I was covered via paypal when I paid for 200 worth of gift vouchers. When they did not show paypal refunded me 0 as I had already claimed the max 2 times already that year. Sadly these were items to the value of 2.50 and 3 ish.

ALWAYS PAY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD THROUGH PAYPAL.

Guide To Open Coil Mattress

The spring system is the most commonly used in mattresses. It incorporates rows of hour glass shaped springs which are joined to neighbouring springs by a continuous small diameter spiral unit called a helical. The perimeter is strengthened by a heavy gauge border rod or wire, top and bottom.

To alter the degree of firmness in an open coil unit, different gauges thickness and strength of and the number of spirals are used. A 12.5 or 13 gauge wire is hard, while 14 or 15 is soft. in general, there are at least 288 open coil springs in a 135cm 4'6" mattress and 325 in a 150cm 5' mattress.

HONESTY AND PROFITS!

I am sure that this will cause a little controversy and some may simply neg it because it hits home a little too much for their conscience.

HONESTY VS PROFITS!

I am honest, and if I sell an item I ensure that the seller knows any flaws, if it has been used etc.

Looking at what people are selling, there are some interesting definitions of the word NEW - my personal definition means that it can be sealed (preferable), it an be unsealed (if that is how it was bought from a store -NOT that you have taken the seal off to have a test, and worse still you tried to reseal it with tape (happened to a friend and she had no option but to go via paypal)), it has not been used, and that it is in a condition that means that you can give the article as a gift.

My definition of used - lightly tested, sprayed once, sniffed, opened, tested on back of hand - I don't mind that but only if the seller discloses it in the auction, because then like many people I won't waste my money buying it as a gift. I might accept it has been used but as Christmas is coming - let's offer a bit of goodwill.

I have just bought an item which was stated as new on a buy it now (with a buy it now you have the SAME rights as you do in a shop - a lot of sellers are not aware of that), I checked it was perfect as a gift and I am greeted with a lovely big finger print on the surface of the product.

Yes honesty does affect profits but then again dishonesty affects them even more.

What is the First Reflection Point?

What Is The First Reflection Point? The first reflection point is the most discernable echo in a room; it is also the most disruptive. This reflection is the next sound you hear after the direct sound from the monitors or the loudspeakers. The reflection can confuse the listener because it adds extra information in the direction of the listener and makes it very difficult to distinguish the true sound projecting from the speakers because it adds unwanted clutter. It is only after you have eliminated this first reflection can you truly appreciate stereo imaging and soundstage and achieve a clean sound. After the first reflection has been removed you will appreciate increased definition, enhanced accuracy and better timing. The treatment of the first reflection point is vital in mixing rooms, listening rooms, home cinema rooms, editing suite or control room.Where is the first reflection point? The first reflection point is the mirror point between the monitor or loudspeaker and the listening position. These are on the two walls either side of the mixing or control desk. The third reflection point is found on the ceiling between the monitors and the listening position. To find the first reflection point you will need a mirror and an assistant. While sat in your listening position get your assistant to drag a mirror along the left hand wall starting from the position of the monitor. When you can see the left monitor through the mirror you have found the first reflection point for the left channel. Do the same with the right hand side. In most cases this will be same distance from the corner as the left but depends on the position of the two monitors in relation to each other. The next point to find is the one of the ceiling. Directly in front of the listening position get your assistant to drag the mirror along the ceiling until you can see the two monitors in the mirror. If you only have a small mirror you may have to do each channel separately. Once you have found these three points you have the most vital positions of your acoustic treatment. What acoustic treatment should I use?In these areas that you have found you need install clusters of acoustic tiles or single acoustic panels such as our 2ft by 4ft Acousti-Slab Panels. The thickness of acoustic foam you choose is also important. If you only install thin acoustic treatment then there is a smaller and higher frequency range that is going to be absorbed. The thicker the acoustic foam the lower it can absorb to. The maximum thickness you would want to install at the first reflections points is 4inches (100m) thick. At these points you are only going to effectively absorb from the lower of the mid range frequencies upwards. The panels will absorb the low end frequencies but only a small proportion will be absorbed. After you have treated these three areas you will notice a big improvement in the sonics of the room. You will find that the sound emitting from the monitors or loudspeakers will be cleaner and more direct. The slap echoes will be totally eradicated enabling you to better distinguish between each channel. So if you are treating a control room or a mixing room it will have the positive effect of giving you much more defined stereo image and help you to discern more accurately each channel level. If you are treating a listening room or a cinema room treatment of the first reflection points will widen the soundstage and remove the clutter that comes from over reflective surfaces giving you a cleaner sound. In both cases you will bring focus to the room and create a space that works with you.Why don

A few tips to increase sales.....

I sell beautiful bedroom stools and chairs on ebay, to people all over the country and have been doing so for a while now so Ive learnt a few little tips to maximise my sales so I thought Id write this short guide to also help you! :)

1, My first tip is to invest in a good camera so that you can take a great picture! - Remember, this is the first thing a buyer see's so if your picture is rubbish then your NOT going to get a sale! so its worth just making a little extra effort.

2, You MUST add a gallery picture to your listings! Its been proven that you are more likely to sell your item if you add one of these. - I would never list an item without using this feature.

3, You should make your listing as bright and as beautiful as possible! ebay has a great listing designer feature that you should always use and it only costs 6p! You should always use a size 12 to 14 font so that it stands out and change the colour of the text! There is a great website that I use http://allyoucanupload.webshots.com/ its free to upload your pictures here so you can save a bit on ebay fees and also make your listing realy stand out!

4, Don't go overboard on a price and DONT add a reserve price! BUYERS HATE RESERVE PRICES! why bother??? just add the reserve price as you starting price.... at least buyers know where they stand! and dont worry if your item doesnt sell first time! just list it again when it ends because it will sell..... inventually :)

5, Finally the most busy time on ebay for buyers is Sunday at 8pm so list your items on Thursdays at 8pm for a maximum of 10 days so that it ends at the busiest time of the week.... there are more bidders then = more buyers!

I hope this quick guide has helped a little and remember SELL SELL SELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blank DVDs - What to Look for with Blank DVDs

BLANK DVDS Typically hold upwards of 4.7 Gigabytes of information.Compared to the average 700 megabytes available on a CD-ROM, Blank DVDs offer quite a bit more storage such DVDs can be used for anything from saving a film to backing up data.

The only thing needed to take advantage of this technology is a computer equipped with a DVD Burner When buying blank DVDs, its important to distinguish between DVDRs and DVRWs The first of the two allowsfor data to be burned onceonto a disc. Once the burning session has been closed ,no new data can be added and exsisting data cannot be removedor replaced. DVDRWs on the otherhand can have information burned erased and replaced as many times as the user sees fit.Although this makes them more versatile they are als more Expensive.

Rewritable DVD

Now that the rewritable DVD revolution is well underway, its clear that this medium wil provide versatile solutions for your PC storage and computing needs, as well as serve as agreat entertainment source. One advantage of the rewritable DVD format over other rewitable media is its storage capacity of 4.7 GB.This media can also record up to two hours of high quality digital video over and over again. Rewritable DVDs data backup capabillity offers several more benefits.First it offers you security.High storage capacity that finally allows you to copy all your files over in a reasonable amount of time and with relative ease.

Plus since DVDs are so durable and have a lifespan far surpassing that of other media you dont have to worry about your data being damaged or lost.Rewitable DVDs also save you space ,not only do you have the option of repaetedly writing over unwanted data, but one DVD holds almost seven times more data than a CD-R!

ThereAre three rewitable DVD formats available now, two of which feature fairly simalar capabilities : DVD RW and DVD-RW. Both are compatable with most DVD-ROM drives and new consumer DVD players, however make sure your media and DVD writer are compatible before trying to copy onto a DVD. DVD-RAM does not play in home DVD players but is highly suited for data storage, lending itself to PC use .

Both DVD-RW and DVD RW have read-once compliments: Consumers shoppimg for blank DVDs may notice a slight difference between certain brands, some are listed as DVD Rs ,while others are DVD-Rs. In truththe difference between both types is negligible. DVD-R was the first recordable format created and is compatible with over 90 percent of all plyers and burners.DVD Rs are a slightly diffrent format but still compatible with nearly 90 percent of players and burners. Although the odds of incompatibility are low, its always wise to double check your system prior to making a purchase.

Consumers often get confused when it comes tothe compatability of their blank DVDs and their stand alone DVD players. Nowadays, a growing number of players will recognize content burnt to a DVD,nevertheless, in order for the files to play, whether they are vudeo or audio, they need to be formatted correctly.compatible formats depend entirely on the individual system.

DON'T GET RIPPED OFF THIS CHRISTMAS!!

Think before you part with your hard earned cash. Even if you are getting something half price it's waste of your money if it's not the real thing. Make sure the person you buy from guarantee's the item is genuine. If you think someone is not being honest report them to Ebay and let them investigate. The reason for my guide is a simple one, i am a housewife who has started my own business and i pride myself on being honest and only charging the bare minimum to make a profit. When i deal with my customers they are all good honest people, who work hard to earn thier money. It is such a shame when you hear they were sent a fake item by someone. It is easy to be taken in by such bargains, and don't get me wrong not all items are fake. There are many reputable sellers on Ebay. The message is a simple one just make sure and double check with seller if you have any doubts.

How to Choose a GREAT pair of MOTORCYCLE GOGGLES

HOW TO PURCHASE A GREAT PAIR OF MOTORCYCLE GOGGLES!
Easy Rider? Wild Hogs? Ghost Rider? Terminator 2?What kind of look are you going for?As a motorcycle rider you will spend money not only on your bike, but the essential accessories: helmet, boots, gloves, leathers, jacket and goggles. If you use a full-coverage helmet with a full-face shield you may not need goggles. But if you prefer an open-faced helmet or a short helmet, then you need to buy riding glasses or goggles. The amount you spend on your goggles will depend on the make and model. Some brands are more expensive than others. Every model has certain features and the number of features will help determine the price. Shop around for the best price because you can find goggles at many retail stores, on the Internet, and even at your local dealer. In addition to the price, which can range from $15 to $200 for all purpose goggles, you will want to shop for a good fit and helpful features. Comfort and safety is important when you are out there enjoying your ride.Needless to say, Cycle Stables offers great goggles in our our online eBay store. Your choice of motorcycle goggles will be a combination of safety, comfort, style, and the look you want when riding. However, hidden amidst the mystique are some pretty simple concepts:1. SAFETYYou want something to protect your eyes that is specifically designed for the environment and conditions that you will experience while riding.Your enemies are wind, dust, sand, rain, bugs and even the sun. Keeping your eyes protected is absolutely critical when riding. It is not like a car, where you can take one hand and clear your eyes while trying to just stay on the road. (I know. Some of you use BOTH hands to eat or text message and drive with your knees. This doesnt work on a bike.)If your eyes get screwed up, you have to stop. Period. If you are riding on longer rides or driving at higher speeds you will require goggles that prevent the wind from getting around and behind the goggles and drying out your eyes. If your ride includes a lot of in-town driving with traffic and stop lights, then youll want goggles that permit more air flow in order to minimize fogging and perspiration around your eyes. And NOW. More then you ever wanted to know about the choice of LENSES!Polycarbonate LensesPolycarbonate plastic is a remarkably light, yet strong composite material that is designed to absorb high-energy impacts and protect your eyes from flying objects. Polycarbonate lenses are lighter and more scratch-resistant than glass lenses, and they also offer built-in UV protection.Polycarbonate is virtually indestructible, and it is used exclusively by many of the world's finest sports glasses manufacturers. It is thinner, lighter, and stronger than glass. Polycarbonate naturally blocks almost all of the sun's harmful UV rays. The strength of polycarbonate is partially derived from its flexibility. It is not brittle and will not shatter. This strength also contributes to its main weakness. Because polycarbonate is so flexible, it is also easily scratched. New lens coatings and hardeners have significantly improved polycarbonate's durability, but choosing a polycarbonate lens still requires an informed consumer. Quality lens treatments match the refractive index of the lens material and allow light to pass directly through. If light passes through the lens coating and the lens at two different speeds, vision will be blurred.ANSI Approved Safety GlassesANSI Approved Safety Glasses have been subjected to numerous tests to ensure that they will protect your eyes, even under the most extreme circumstances. Motorcycle safety glasses are not only great for riding, but they are ideal for law-enforcement, military, construction, laboratory, or industrial usage as well.UV ProtectionUltraviolet treatments provide your eyes with protection from the Sun's harmful UV rays. Overexposure to ultraviolet light is believed to be the culprit responsible for causing cataracts, and other severe eye problems.Scratch Resistant CoatingAlthough no lens is scratch-proof, a hard, scratch-resistant clearcoat is applied to many sunglasses and goggles. This clearcoat helps to provide additional protection for the lens against light nicks and scratches that might otherwise appear under normal use. The best way to clean goggle lenses is to use a micro-fiber cloth. Many goggles come with a cloth or a pouch that doubles for storage AND cleaning.Anti-Fog TreatmentMany sunglasses and goggles have an Anti-Fog coating applied, which helps to reduce fogging and keep your lenses clear while you ride. This semi-permanent coating may be maintained through the use of commercial anti-fogging products. An additional helpful feature found on some goggles is double-sided anti-fogging, which is great for avoiding fogged lenses in varying temperature extremes.Polarized LensesPolarized lenses are the most effective way to cut glare and get a clean, crisp view of the road. Polarization is not a lens coating. It is a series of crystals sandwiched inside the lens that blocks scattered light from reaching your eye. Sources of glare most often include sunlight reflected from wet roads or glass buildings, windshields, and of course direct sunlight. There are, however, some reasons NOT to get polarized lenses. Some LED instrumentation is not visible through a polarized lens. Polarized lenses can also cause distortion when worn under some full-faced helmets. Also, polarized lenses are more expensive than traditional lenses. Still Riveted?? . Here is more info on LENSE COLOR!The object of your lenses is to maximize clarity and contrast. Here are some helpful hints on what to choose:Tint Hint The darker the tint, the more light it absorbs.Amber and Orange Reduces blue light (a chief component of glare), increases contrast, brightens and enhances detail. Brown Cuts glare and works well in variable light conditions. It also provides excellent contrast. Because it is darker, it minimizes eye strain and is good for motorcyclists.Clear Sort of self-explanatory. Useful in low-light conditions. No UV protection. Best for rain and night driving.Clear-Mirrored A clear lens with a flash mirror coating that provides a one-way mirror for "private eyes" They're cool! Popular for bright and low-light conditions. Cleared mirrored lenses offer all of the advantages of clear lenses such as no color distortion and a clear field of vision. In addition they offer the extra advantage that they reflect some of the light/glare of on-coming headlights. Copper Varying shades of copper can provide the best contrast, and copper will always sharpen colors like reds and greens.Flash Mirrored A smoked lens with a partial mirror coating.Gradient A lens that is darkest at the top and gradually becomes lighterGray Best choice for maintaining true color. Keeps color distortion to a minimum. Also reduces glare.Green Enhances contrast in low light conditions and will reduce eyestrain in bright conditions for greatest visual detail. Best general purpose lens.Mirrored Smoked lens with a silver mirror coatingRose Offers high contrast and is very soothing to the eyes while still providing excellent light and glare protection. Works well in all daytime light conditions.Smoked Distinctive gray tint decreases sunlight without distorting colors.Transitional Can be worn in low light or sunlight conditions. The lenses automatically adjust to the amount of ultraviolet light.Yellow tint Increases depth perception. Ideal for overcast, hazy or foggy days. Also great for dusk or early dawn riding. Light rust lenses also work well. Cuts glare and improves contrast.Yellow Tint Mirrored The advantages of yellow tint with a partial mirror coating.2. COMFORTThe best goggles will provide a snug fit. Particularly if you ride with no windshield, your face will bear the brunt of the wind force. Often this can cause a vibration in loose fitting goggles, which blurs your vision and can make reading road signs a challenge. A snug fit will keep the goggles in place while protecting your eyes from insects and dust and other evils. If your goggles are vented a good choice for warm days or temperature extremes (fogging), a snug fit also supports the ventilation system. So what if you happen to wear glasses? Many riders who wear contacts still choose to wear their glasses because they find that the wind and other irritants are a problem. But even if you wear glasses, you will still need some kind of goggle protection. The sunglasses that you see all of the cool motorcyclists wear are usually very tight-fitting or they even have rubber or foam seals to keep out wind and dust. Your normal vision glasses will definitely not be enough for riding a motorcycle. There are basically 3 options:a) Get lasik surgery so dont need glasses any longer. You can now be officially cool.b) Find goggles to fit over your eyeglasses.c) Pay for prescription goggles. Not all goggles will fit over your eyeglasses. If you wear prescription eyeglasses then you will want goggles that are big enough to sit over your glasses. There are a number of good styles out there and Cycle Stables offers them in our auctions and store.Another option for you to consider, if you wear prescription eyeglasses, is prescription goggles. Many styles are available with prescription lenses. Unfortunately these can be very expensive and your ability to experiment with different lenses and colors are limited. (Unless you have some crazy insane budget/time to work with.)One of the best features you can find in motorcycle goggles is the interchangeable lenses. During the day, a tinted lens will help you see by blocking out the bright sun. But at night, your eyes need to take in all the artificial and natural (moonlight) lighting they can to help you see. Pop in your clear lenses once the sun sets and you have regular night vision. The final part of the comfort section is about fit: make sure your goggles are easily adjustable. Most manufacturers use an elastic strap with an adjustable slide. They still make the retro kind with the double eyepieces and tie-on head strap, however, so if you are into looking um.. retroand fumbling with your gloves and tie string, then this is for you!Cleaning Lenses:Wash lenses daily with a mild soap and warm water to remove dirt and oil and avoid buildup. Dry lenses with a lens cloth or non-abrasive cotton. Avoid using paper towels, facial tissue or camera lens cleaning paper. Buy an eyewear lens cleaning cloth and lens cleaner to remove fingerprints, dirt buildup and smudges that are difficult to remove with soap and water. Hold the glasses firmly by the frame with one hand, while gently buffing the lens in a circular motion with the other. Be sure to wash your cleaning cloth weekly with a mild, non-abrasive soap. Do not use fabric softener when washing or drying the cloth. 3. STYLE and LOOKAlmost as important as the safety and comfort features are the way your goggles look, right? Some of you prefer the Eddie the Birdman look, while others want to emulate John Travolta from Wild Hogs. You can choose from a wide variety of lens and frame colors. Some very high quality goggles are relatively inexpensive, so you can experiment with purchasing a few options!Try this:a) Always have a clear lenses for night or impaired visibility driving.b) Get a pair of mirrored lenses and keep them guessing.c) Try rose tinted lenses theyre different and you look smarter.d) Buy colored frames. Find something that matches your bike color!e) Find a frame color that matches your bandana or hair! (If you still have some)As always ride safely, stay alert, and keep your vision clear and sharp.Cycle Stables offers great GLOBAL VISION goggles our online eBay store.

Submitting a Best Offer

Submitting a Best OfferWhat is a Best Offer?A best offer is when a seller sets a "Buy it Now" price but then also allows you the potential buyer to "Make an Offer", this is the price that you are prepared to pay for the item. The seller will then review your best offer and decide to either accept or decline. Please remember when submitting a best offer you are entering in to a contract with a seller and are obligated to purchase the item if your offer is accepted. On this understanding you should always make sure that the offer you submit is acceptable to you. What is a Reasonable Offer?Quite often when sellers set a "Buy it Now" price they will have done some research into the price of recently ended listings, this allows a seller to set a reasonable "Buy it Now" price.Any registered ebayer can do this, the easiest way is to search for an item as normal, and when the search results appear click the box titled "Completed Listings" on the left hand side of the page. This will bring up all the recently ended items that match your search criteria, it is a great way of helping you decide what a reasonable offer is.Condition and PostageHowever as the buyer it is also important to take into consideration the condition of an item. When you are looking at the completed listings you may find a few items that ended at a price well below the "Buy it Now" price of the item you are thinking of submitting an offer on. This could be due to the items condition, as items labeled as "New" or "As New" generally achieve a better price than "used" or "faulty/spares or repairs" labeled items. It is also important to consider postage costs. Many sellers do put a very reasonable postage cost on an item and even offer various different postage options to keep costs low, having said this there are often ebayers that put inflated postage costs on an item, you should bear in mind these costs when submitting your best offer. Can I Email the Seller? The answer simply put is yes, in many cases this is encouraged. As a buyer recent changes to ebay allow you to make more than one official offer on each listing. However you can email a seller first to see if they find your best offer acceptable. Sellers are only human and most will be happy to talk to you about a potential best offer, you must remember that they would not have put the best offer option in if they were not open to offers. If your best offer gets declined you are able to make another offer but also you can still "buy it now".However although all sellers are not the same generally they will not accept silly offers for example if an item is placed at 9.99 then a seller is unlikely to accept 4.99 or less, if they do then you have been very lucky. Many sellers on ebay are running a business and as such looking to make money, it is important for a potential buyer to realize that there are many fees involved in selling on ebay and receiving funds through paypal that accepting silly offers will make them no profit. When to Make an Offer? There is no point in waiting to submit your offer to a seller, in fact the best time to submit a best offer is straight away. This will minimize the change of another person either using the "Buy it Now" option or submitting an offer better than yours. Ebay will make the seller aware of your best offer through email however not every seller is online all day and there are often delays in best offer emails reaching sellers, for these reasons it is a bad idea to wait until the final hours or minutes of a listing to make an offer. How Long Does My Offer Last?An offer will usually last for either 48 hours or until the auction ends (if this is less than 48 hours). If you have not heard from a seller in this time they will usually have decided against accepting your offer or just simply be busy, it is also possible on rare occasions that they have not received the best offer notification email (ie it has been sent the their spam box), so it doesn't hurt to let a seller know you have made an offer, as they can then view the offer on the listing page.Recent changes to ebay now also allow sellers to set auto decline or accept prices on all their "best offer" listings, if this is the case you will receive an instant response to your offer. What is a Counter-Offer?New and very recent changes to ebay now allow sellers to make a "Counter-Offer". This is a way that the seller can reject your offer but make you aware of a price they would accept, for example if the "Buy it Now" price is 9.99 and you offer 4.99 they can then say no but i will take 7.49. If you accept the "counter-offer" as before you are entering in to a contract and are bound to complete the transaction.Thank you for taking the time to read my guide into "Best Offers" I hope you found it useful. If you found this guide useful please review it. Thank you. Abby's Baby Auctions.

SCAM 1st time sellers beware! K850i

SCAM - 1st time sellers beware! K850i

I listed an item and someone bought it! Yay - I thought!

Sadly however, and without prejudice to female american doctors with a firm believe in God I'm sad to to say it turned out to be a scam.

I was contacted by ebay to say the listing had been removed because the item was purchased without the account holders permission. However the so-called buyer still wanted me to transact business outside ebay due to a 'problem with their account'.

Happily I didn't fall for it and even more happily these individuals do not seem to be very bright!

So if you're a first time seller like me, beware of the following:

Offers to buy outside ebay due to a 'fault with their account'
Offers to buy from America if it's not logical given the item you're selling
Offers to buy from people signing "Dr" who haven't yet learned to spell or use appropriate grammar or syntax
Finally, and most sadly of all, offers to buy from people who feel the need to shower you with Gods blessings at the end of an email - like as if any default on their part will have the Almighty winging your item back across the pond on the wings of an angel.. it ain't gonna happen.

Hope this helps at least one person.

Simon.

The SCAM:

Dear Simon
I'm a proud winner of your item,I'm presently having slight problems with ebay which will be resolved shortly.

Managing your time as an eBay seller.

As you start to become successful on eBay you will notice you become busier and it can start to take over your life.Well what if I told you I usually spend no more than an hour or two a day running my eBay business. I actually spend more time doing things like writing/compiling eBooks or doing things like this review. The last thing you want to do is have eBay take over your life, especially if you hold a regular job too. This is where you have an advantage as an eBook seller, every single task apart from support can be automated. You can automate delivery, feedback, listing items, re-listing, everything. If you were selling something like DVDs or regular books you would constantly be printing shipping labels, packing parcels, going to the post office, dealing with lost parcels, etc. Believe me I have done that and it really can start to take over your life. When I discovered eBooks I could not believe how easy it can be once everything is set up correctly. Here are a few things you will want to automate. Delivery This can be done with outlook express or special software Listing items - Check out turbo lister Feedback and re-listing - Check out Selling Manager ProThe tools above can make a dramatic effect on the time it takes to run your business. I would personally recommend them all. However, Selling Manager Pro comes at a cost but for me the small cost is nothing compared to the time it saves. So now you have everything automated and running like clockwork, this leaves one thing, support. You will be bombarded with questions from buyers and potential buyers, how you run your support is what can make or break you because if you give poor support you can be open to negative feedback. Here are a few tips to help your business run smoothly.1, Always always always be polite in any communications with other eBay members. You will receive arrogant emails from buyers with no manners and may be quite shocked in the early days just how rude some people can be. Just rise above it and answer their query in a polite and professional way. After a while you will become immune to the rude people out there. You will also receive a lot of questions from newbies, can you remember when you first got started on eBay? I know I can, well newbies don't know it all yet and will ask some very basic questions indeed and it can be quite easy to send a short, sharp response, just remember to be as helpful as possible as you could be their first eBay experience.Remember! Good manners cost nothing.2, Keep things business like, you will get someone telling you their life story in a 2000 word email. It is quite easy to spend 30 minutes a day with one person if youre not careful and this is not good for business. I would recommend you simply reply by answering any questions related to the product you are selling and nothing else.3, Keep on top of your emails, I usually have 100 emails a day to get through so I try and keep on top of things by answering my emails at least twice a day. If I go over 24 hours I am usually looking at a 2-3 hour session so try and keep on top of your emails, plus a fast response is always appreciated.4, Very important. You will find you get asked the same questions over and over again, especially from the newbies. What I do is save pre-written responses to my most common questions in a folder as text documents. Then all I have to do is copy the text document and paste this in my reply and hit send. This makes what could be a 5 minute response take 10 seconds. Over time you will find the best responses to save. You can also save responses as email signatures or email documents but I personally prefer text documents. So there you go, all the above methods put together mean I can have 100s of auctions running and spend no more than 2 hours a day running my business. If there is one thing we all need more of in life it is time. So have a look at the tools I have suggested and see if it can help you run your business.

Windows XP

Recently I came across sellers of Windows XP OEM on eBay. One seller stated that in order to keep with Microsoft and eBay policies one piece of hardware chosen at random will be provided. Please be aware, Microsoft Windows XP OEM version is only to be issued with a new PC. It states this clearly on the packaging so anyone selling without a PC is breaking the law.If you buy this particular software, you may have trouble activating with Microsoft online. This is one of the reasons Microsoft did away with re-activation of OEM software online. Please beware if you decide to purchase this software.Happy bidding.

Roller Skates

If you are buying off ebay consider the following:

1. Is it real?

2. Does the seller have any proof? IE Genuine photo and not a copied one!!!

3. Search other similar listings and make sure you are not getting ripped off.

4. Do not buy if you are not too sure.

5. Check it out with the seller before you buy.

6. How long has the seller been a ebay member.

Hope you found my guide helpful.

Tennis Cigarette Cards ( Collectables )

I've been collecting and selling early trade cards, cigarette cards and related collectables for over twenty years. Before you read this guide please subscribe to my card collecting newsletters for updates on rare cards and tips on buying by Clicking Here, thank you.

The origins of tennis can be traced back as far as Ancient Greece. However, its modern form dates back to the late 19th century and spread mainly throughout the English-speaking world, particularly among the upper classes. Only a small number of cigarette card sets were devoted purely to tennis, although many general sports' sets do contain tennis cards, along with other sports. I've listed a small selection of sets containing tennis cardsbelow. I've provided scans of a sample card from each set and I've tried to list as many card titles as possible.

Refining and Assaying Gold, Testing for Fake Gold

The separating and purifying of precious metals from other metals is called refining.

Smelting is the separation of precious metal from non-metallic impurities.

The Silver Brothers arecommittedto using correct and accurate evaluation methods of all precious metalpurchases from our valued customers.

Our modern laboratory guarantees that all precious metals are tested using the most suitable methods of evaluation. Gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium areverified (determination of precious metal purity) in various ways to accurately and precisely evaluate each metals percentage of purity.

The method known as fire assay is the oldest known method of assaying gold and continues to be one of the most accurate. When gold is melted, a sample of the gold is taken, either by drilling through the poured bar or by capillary tube sampling while the gold is in a molten state. The sample is weighed very precisely and the amount recorded. The sample is wrapped in assay lead foil along with a quantity of pure silver. This wrapped ball is placed in the furnace in a cupel (a special kind of disposable crucible). All the non-precious metals are absorbed by the hot cupel. The precious metal forms a button within the cupel. The cupel is removed from the furnace and the button is brushed to remove any remaining bits of the cupel. It is hammered flat, rolled thin and then heated in a porcelain crucible containing a weak nitric acid solution. The acid removes the silver, which is poured off and the silver recovered from solution. The gold is then rinsed in distilled water to remove any residual acid and then dried. The sample of gold is now at least 99.999% pure! The sample is then weighed again. The original weight of the impure sample is divided into the weight of the now pure sample. The result is the assay. In the analysis of platinum group metals, roughly the same procedure is followed, but the final element readings are normally done using ICP.

ICP-OES Inductively coupled plasma optical emissions spectroscopy is a major technique for elemental analysis. The sample to be analyzed, if solid, is normally first dissolved and then mixed with water before being fed into the plasma. Atoms in the plasma emit light (photons) with characteristic wavelengths for each element. This light is recorded by one or more optical spectrometers and when calibrated against standards the technique provides a quantitative analysis of the original sample. ICP instruments comprise of various optical spectrometers, nebulizers, spray chambers, ICP torch and RF generators.

Typical ICP Torch

X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry is a non-destructive analytical technique used to identify and determine the concentrations of elements present in solid, powered and liquid samples. The spectrometer measures the individual component wavelengths of the fluorescent emission produced by a sample when irradiated with X-rays.

The Silver Brothers can accurately determine the purity of most precious metals either by electronic means or by basic scratch and touch stone testing with acid, which compare scratch marks from unknown karat gold items with known karat gold needle marks. We employ the touch stone method which is many centuries old. The touch stoneis a smooth fine grained, slightly abrasive black stone, usually quartz or jasper. It was used as the first method of assaying gold and was used at least as early as 500 BC. Touch stones and karat needles are still used today and can be purchased from jewelry supply houses. They obviously are not anywhere near the accuracy of a fire assay, but still serve as a valuable tool to test the karat value of unknown gold items.

Touchstone set used in the 19th century for testing the fineness of gold Individuals can test their own gold and silver items with a few basic tools and acid.

Nitric acid can be obtained from most jewelry supply houses and used to determine whether an item is gold or gold-plated on steel or copper. A good strong magnet, available at any hardware store, is useful to test whether the item is just gold-plated over steel. Gold is not magnetic. Gold-filled items are not magnetic, because the gold is usually over copper. Gold-filled items can be tested by filing a deep notch in the surface and putting a drop of nitric acid over the filed notch. If it starts to bubble green color, it is the copper reacting to the acid and it is gold-filled. When nitric acid is applied to 10 KT. gold, it will turn a reddish brown in color. 14 KT. will not change color and the acid will just look like a drop of water on it. From 18 KT. to 24 KT will stay bright on a touch stone, but is hard to tell any difference between the karat value. There are numerous electronic testers on the market that will tell the karat value of gold items and some that can test for platinum. Electronic testers are not nearly as accurate as an actual fire assay, but can serve as a tool to get a basic idea of what an unknown piece of metal is, or is not. Electronic gold testers are available through jewelry supply companies. You can also determine whether a silver colored piece of flatware or jewelry is sterling silver or silver plated over base metal or copper by filing a deep notch in it and applying acid in the notch. If the item is sterling silver it will turn an ashy light gray in color, but if it starts to bubble green at the notch, it is silver plated over copper or other base metal.

Music Terms Jargon Words Guitarists Guitar Definitions

Some of the most common and not so guitar and music terms, definitions and jargon arranged alphabetically.

This explanation guide has info from beginner to intermidiate guitarists in the quest for more musical understanding or guitar.

I have included parts of guitars, accessories, notation terms and other music and instrument related words.

Here is my comprehensive list that I have accumulated over time.

3/4-Size Guitar - A smaller than normal guitar with shorter strings and less space between frets.

Action Height of the strings above the frets and fretboard as in "high" or "low" action.

Acoustic Guitar - Not enhanced electronically and typically with a hollow body..Alternating Bass -A style of playing where the right hand alternates between two or more strings.

Binding - The trim that runs along the top and sometimes back of a guitar. It can be made of plastic or wood, and can be multiple layers, giving a dressy look, especially to acoustic guitars. It also protects the edge of the guitar from damage from minor hits.

Body - The central part of a guitar (not the neck). On an acoustic guitar, a body is made of a top, a back, and sides, while on an electric guitar the body is usually one or more pieces of solid wood. A hybrid design called a semi-solid guitar has a block of wood running through a hollow body, so the guitar gets some of the best tone characteristics of both solid and hollow construction.

Bridge - The part of the guitar where the strings transmit their vibrations to the soundboard. Made of either wood or metal.

Capo -A capo is a mechanical device with a spring, elastic or nylon band, or a lever and thumbscrew arrangement that places a barre on the neck of a guitar by means of a string, . "Dear friend

A Beginners Guide to the Different eBay Auction Types.

Over the years, eBay has introduced all sorts of different auction types, in an effort to give people more options when they buy and sell their things on eBay.

For every seller who doesnt like the idea that their item might sell for a far lower price than they intend, theres another who wants to shift hundreds of the same item quickly. eBay tries to cater to all tastes. This email gives you an overview of the different kinds of auctions and their advantages for you.

Normal Auctions.

These are the bread-and-butter of eBay, the auctions everyone knows: buyers bid, others outbid them, they bid again, and the winner gets the item. Simple.

Reserve Auctions.

Reserve auctions are for sellers who dont want their items to sell for less than a certain price a concept youll know about if youre familiar with real auctions. They work just like normal auctions on eBay, except that the buyer will be told if their bid does not meet the reserve price you set, and theyll need to bid again if they want the item. If no-one is willing to meet your price, then the auction is cancelled, and you keep the item.

Fixed Price (Buy it Now) Auctions.

Buy it Now auctions can work in one of two ways. You can add a Buy it Now button to a normal auction, meaning that buyers can choose either to bid normally or to simply pay the asking price and avoid the whole bidding process. Some sellers, though, now cut out the auction process altogether and simply list all their items at fixed price. This lets you avoid all the complications of the auction format and simply list your items for how much you want them to sell for.

Recently, eBay added a twist to fixed price auctions: the best offer. This means that buyers can contact you to negotiate a price, which could be a good way to get sell some extra stock at a small discount. The only downside to reserve and fixed price auctions is that you pay a small extra fee to use these formats. In general, it is more worth using reserve auctions for higher-priced items and fixed price auctions for lower-priced ones but remember that you can combine the two formats.

Multiple Item (Dutch) Auctions.

These are auctions where you can sell more than one of a certain item. Dutch auctions can be done by bidding. Buyers bid a price and say how many items they want, and then everyone pays the lowest price that was bid by one of the winning bidders. If you have trouble getting your head around that, then dont worry everyone else does too! These auctions are very rare.

What is more common is when a seller has a lot of one item, and lists it using a combination of two auction types: a multiple-item fixed price auction. This just means that you can just say how many of the item you they have, and offer them at a fixed price per unit. Buyers can enter how many they want and then just click Buy it Now to get them.
